FONDITAL — Error E1

No flame (the burner does not turn on, there is no flame, works for a few minutes and goes out).

• Restart the boiler: the RESET button is pressed on the front panel.

• Boiler power supply problems: a common cause of many errors.

It is strictly recommended to connect heating boilers through a stabilizer (for the boiler) or UPS, this will save you from unnecessary costs for replacing the control board.

• Checking the polarity in the plug – socket bundle: turn the plug 90 degrees and insert it back into the socket or stabilizer.

• Check the grounding:  the main reason for the appearance of errors installed in apartments.

• Check the potential on the metal part of the boiler: the error may be related to leads (stray currents).

They appear for various reasons (a power line is located close, a powerful radiation source, the insulation of the power cable is damaged or otherwise), but the result is the same: where there should be no potential, it is present.We also do not forget about installing a dielectric coupling on a gas pipe.

• Failures in the gas supply to the house: often the gas supply pressure decreases on the main line and the boiler does not go into operation.
• The check is reduced to the ignition of all the burners on the stove at maximum mode. Flames with a characteristic shade will indicate the absence of problems with the fuel supply, and their intensity, stability – the constancy of pressure and its normal value.

• You also need to check:

The position of the shut-off valve controls: the gas supply valve to the house may have been accidentally turned off or the shut-off valve tripped during a power outage.
Serviceability, condition of technical devices: counter, reducer (with autonomous gas supply), main filter, filling level of the tank (gas tank, balloon group).

• The boiler gas valve is faulty: we check the coil windings with a multimeter (we measure in COM).

If there is a discrepancy, the gas valve is replaced (inter-turn closure). If R = ∞ – breakage, R = 0 – short circuit.

• Ionization electrode: controls the flame of the burner, if the electronic board does not receive a signal from the measuring device, the boiler is blocked.

Common causes of electrode failure are:

1. Damage to the electrical circuit (breakage, unreliable contact, short circuit to the boiler body).
2. Defect of the sensor holder: it is located on the same assembly with the ignition electrodes (crack, ceramic chip).
3. Contamination of the wire: dust, soot, oxides accumulate on it and as a result, the sensor does not detect the flame after ignition. It is solved by cleaning the electrode with a fine-grained skin.
4. The position of the wire: during maintenance, the electrode is knocked off by careless actions, ceases to record the presence of a burner flame.

• Burner cleaning: flame separation occurs when the nozzles are clogged with dust, there is enough oxygen, but there is no gas. We clean with a vacuum cleaner and a toothbrush.

 

Make sure that there is a nominal (3.0+ 0.5 mm) gap between the burner and the ignition/ionization electrode.

Condensate on the electrode: if the boiler is in an unheated room or leaks from the chimney without a reverse slope, dampness can affect all boiler appliances, it is necessary to dry the chamber.

• Malfunction of the ignition transformer: the cause becomes damage to the electrical circuit: breakage, lack of contact.

• Check the chimney: a blockage that reduces the flue gas discharge channel, icing of the head. In relation to boilers with an open combustion chamber (air is taken from the room), it is necessary to ensure a good flow of air into the room.

• Check the integrity of the monostat / dif.relay:

1. We install a temporary jumper (thereby simulating the closure of the contact) and restart the boiler.
2. Checking the integrity of the manostat and the tubes suitable for it: we blow into the hole of the manostat and fix the switching clicks, if there are no clicks, the manostat requires replacement. It would not be superfluous to check the resistance with a multimeter for closing and opening the contact.

• Check the fan’s operability: make sure the fan is working properly, when the impeller is turned on, it should rotate and pressure in the system is created. The error also appears when the turbine is running, when the fan does not enter the required speed mode and the thrust is lower than the calculated one.

1. The operability is estimated in dynamics (~220 per terminals). Remove the casing of the Ariston boiler, remove the wires, apply voltage from the outlet. If the impeller rotates, there are no complaints about the device.
2. The presence of U coming from the item instance is checked. In case of error 607 of the Ariston EGIS PLUS model, the multimeter will show zero – no fan control.

• Venturi device: if a condensate collector is not provided in the boiler model, the tube cavity is gradually filled with liquid drops: it is easily removed, purged and installed in place.

• The electronic board is faulty: a malfunction in the EP circuit also initiates an error in the boiler.

Defects are detected by inspection for deformation, melting, breaks, and the like.

If the reason for the equipment failure is in the board, contact the service center with an indication of the alphanumeric marking of the node.
